ISLANDS OFF CARIA, Kos. Circa 285-258 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 14.62 g, 12 h), Kleinos, magistrate. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. KΩION - ΚΛEINOΣ Crab with bow in bowcase below; all within pelleted square. Requier 32 (D10/R29). SNG von Aulock 2753. A beautifully toned piece of bold Hellenistic style. Some corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
